Wealth, Fame, and Power await all who can join it's ranks, and you have set your eyes upon it. However, 7 deadly trials await the academy's hopeful, from slaying goblins, to deceiving dragons, and even cheating death itself. Creating your character
ā¢ When you sign up, I'll send out the D&D Beyond campaign link. You can create prepare your character before Session 0 if you wish, but we will roll for stats at that time. ā¢ If you wish to play a monster race (Orc, Lizardfolk, etc) keep in mind people in cities will react accordingly. I recommend asking beforehand if that is the case. ā¢ If you need help or advice, we can do that in session 0. If there is time remaining afterwards, we may do a practice combat.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
ā¢ The Magus Trials is a story in the custom world of Zorstasia. Background knowledge isn't required, but I have a one pager with details on Zorstrasia/Oveisca, the Magus trials, as well as maps if you're interested. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DPE2pyvc_Ir3hlaRS5Xh-PevAdAaFOPIpDqdh97nBmk/edit?usp=sharing ā¢ This is a *roleplay focused* game that primarily about *your characters*. You're encouraged to craft whatever backstory you wish, and I will happily include it, even (and especially) if requires fundamental Zorstrasia lore to be modified. ā¢ I like to use cameras, its easier to read your body language, but its not required. ā¢ Foundry is through the browser so no software required. I provide a lot of automation, animation, effects, etc and will walk you through it in Session 0. ā¢ A backstory will help me fit you into the story. Do not feel restricted at all, and you can DM me with questions.
