About the adventure
“Books are a uniquely portable magic.” - Stephen King. Explore Candlekeep; a wondrous library that houses the largest collection of books, tomes, and hidden secrets within the Realm of Faerun. Located on the Sword Coast just south of Baldur's Gate, travelers have come to Candlekeep to search out unbounded insight, dangerous information, and answers to secret questions, aiding them in understanding the mysteries of the universe. Mysterious circumstances have brought your party together in the hopes of acquiring the guidance of an ancient sage named Matreous who has been rumored to study endlessly within the Halls of Candlekeep. Matreous, however, has not been seen for the past 10-day and his current whereabouts within the keep are unknown. It is up to you and your companions to follow the clues and discover what unnerving stories lay hidden within the shelves of this inspiring library. I have been DM'ing and playing D&D 5e over the past 5 years, using combinations of online and in-person sessions. I am a storyteller by heart, with my primary goal to make this experience as immersive and engaging as possible for my players through the use of voice-acting, ambient background sounds, thematic music, and challenging role-play. Professionally I am a licensed clinical psychologist that specializes in utilizing Geek culture such as video games and tabletop games in a therapeutic manner. While this won't be therapy, I have trained skill sets to keep up communication, role-play, and a fun atmosphere. My games are usually a 50/50 split of role-play and combat, and I often integrate my own home-brew ideas into some of the module narrative. I prefer to have mature players 18+ due to content and material that can be more on the adult side. While I do not ban murder-hobo and impulsivity from my game, please note that every action has a reaction in my games and things that you do at one point can always come back to haunt you later. Please leave an application in the appropriate thread. Games are every-other-week on Wednesday evenings from 9:30pm-12:30am EASTERN Time. Sessions are $20 per. We will communicate through Discord voice/video (video not essential).
