About the adventure
Welcome New and Veteran Players! Tyranny of Dragons is an epic story told across 2 adventure campaigns. It will begin with characters playing through the adventure, Hoard of the Dragon Queen, from levels 1-8. IF the characters survive then we will continue playing in the next adventure, The Rise of Tiamat, finishing players at level 14 or 15. This is a great campaign for those still learning the ropes of D&D 5e or for those who wish to play the classic troupes of D&D with Dungeons AND Dragons :D Ha see what I did there :D Sorry, sorry, not really. Playing these 2 adventures players can expect to have planned sessions ready to go and play through for over a year and a half! We will begin with our first session being a Free Session 0 to build characters together, plot hook for backgrounds and a general rules of what you can expect from me and what I expect from my players. If the chemistry doesn't work out, no problem! No harm no foul. This game will be weekly or biweekly (depending on the group needs) on Sundays from 6:00p-9:00p(ish)/EST and will be priced at $20 per session.

About me
Hello! My name is Nathyn and I have been playing D&D for about 11 years with experience playing AD&D, 3.5e and 5e, with experience in other TTRPGs. With 5yrs being a player and 5+ being a DM, I prioritize RP and enjoy a play style to accompany it. Rewards, character development and an overall extra level of fun will be seen when RPing. I will have Maps for all combat situations whether it is from Official Modules or custom made maps I create. I will add ambient music to go with it in the background to help keep the vibe of the game going. While I do enjoy the rule of cool, I will lean more to RAW (Rules as Written) when debating mechanics. Everyone receives a fair ruling when going over RAW.

Creating your character
We will be starting with Level 1 characters and will be having a Session 0 to go over hooks, backgrounds and Q&A. Character Creation and Character sheets will be done in Roll20. Voice Communication and chat will be conducted in Discord. Player Stats will be determined by Standard Array, Point Buy, or Rolling (Reroll 1s and will be done during session 0) Races/Classes will be using the materials I already have purchased for the group (No Homebrew or UA - sorry): -----Player's Handbook -----Volo's Guide to Monsters -----Xanathar's Guide to Everything -----Eberron -----Tasha's Cauldron of Everything Milestone Leveling Up Multi-classing is allowed as long as stat requirements are met.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
The Game will be conducted in Roll20. You do not need to purchase a membership, it is free. So you at least have to sign up. I will be sharing the books I have for you all in Roll20 for easy character building and access to spells, items, etc. I will provide everything you would need. We will be using discord for voice communications and typing chat shenanigans. So a good mic and/or webcam is required so that I can hear you. If you are camera shy, no worries you do not need to video. Only Voice. If you have ideas on what you want to bring to the table, Awesome! Hold on to them :) We can discuss it together in Session 0 as well as in discord prior to session 0. If you are new and want some help prior, no worries! I am happy to work with each of you to help further your gaming education.
What Nathyn Snyder brings to the table
I will bring (Royalty Free) Background music to help the ambiance of the game, custom maps that fill in for maps that are not provided by the Official D&D book adventures, as well as pre-purchased materials on Roll20 that is shareable to everyone in the game.
