About the adventure

A dark mist settles over the graveyard, a chill running up your spine. The moon looms in a starless sky, offering neither protection nor comfort. The earth beneath your feet is slick with dew and the slightest hint of old rot. As the earth begins to churn around you, a low, creaking moan cuts through the wet silence. The dead begin to rise as you host your weapon. Nothing stays dead in the Blightlands.

About me

I run my games fast, loose, and by the seat my pants! I focus less on Rules As Written and more on MY cardinal rule: what would make this a great story? (Bonus points if the character suffers and the player screams in joy!) I am a second-generation GM, and I love the social element in roleplaying. I try not to plan far in advance, but let the players expand the story and world with me!

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will be created during Session 0, at level 3. Roll-and-drop-the-lowest with generous rerolls. Characters will be given strange powers and unholy gifts. Sheets will be on Roll20, with access to D&D Beyond provided as requested.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Mic Webcam optional Roll20 Character creation at Session 0 Passing familiarity with fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons D&D Beyond optional A sense of humor Willingness to suspend player knowledge of monster weaknesses (and realization that failure to do so will be seen as a challenge of DM creativity ;D)

What Brent E brings to the table

I am bringing books, and will provide access to campaign resources.

How Brent E creates a safe table

The game will run fiction-first, with characters driving the action. More splatterpunk than anything else, expect gore, visceral descriptions, and lots of deadly monsters. Character death is less preferable than characters wishing they had died.
