About me

Librarian and lapsed podcaster in Western MA. I love connecting with people through TTRPGs - I think it's the one hobby that fully puts people in charge of telling their story. I'm neurodivergent, and the structure of a game provides exactly what I need to talk to people without getting stressed. It's the most fun we can have!! In real life, I work in an urban library in the reference department. I help people learn about computers, and more often just help them navigate the fact that every piece of government and corporate infrastructure assumes everyone has tech access (hint: they do not). These sorts of struggles are what drive my homebrew plots - do you wish you could dismantle the big structural barriers you face every day? Do you wanna do it with a big damn sword? That's the game.

GM Style

My specialty is teaching newbies the ropes! I blossomed into a good GM when I started playing for podcasts - it revealed what is important and what is extraneous. I love crafting stories, group worldbuilding, and roleplaying. If you're looking for dedication to the rules and crunchy combat, I am not your GM. If you want to have a goofy time, or take emotional damage, or both, I'm your guy. Safety tools are important to me. Even a one-shot will start with some basic setting of boundaries.

I've played several games across a few different systems with Therin, and each one has been great. They have a knack for engaging NPCs, create interesting encounters, and are great with new players who might be nervous.
