About the adventure

Welcome to the Old World - where at its heart sprawls the Empire, the largest and most powerful of the human realms. It all starts with one night in an innocuous tavern. Events just seem to spiral out of control around you, now you're embroiled in a bitter dispute between two of the Empire’s quarrelling noble houses. Experience the whole strata of Imperial society, from low-born taverns to the palaces of the rich. Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay (WFRP) is a British Fantasy Roleplay game originally made by Games Workshop and now published in its 4th Edition by Cubicle 7. In most fantasy RPG games you play an epic and noble adventurer. In WFRP you start as an ordinary person - sometimes with a randomly chosen and you advance from there. It's like the difference between being Luke Skywalker in Star Wars to being one of the crew of the Serenity in Firefly. So you could start as a scribe and eventually become a seasoned vampire hunter. As the End Times approach ever nearer, the Empire needs heroes like never before! Generate your own character and see them go from humble beginnings to hero!

How to prepare

You need a microphone for audio. Video is not necessary. You also need to have Chrome installed on your computer. Other browsers like Safari do not work well with the virtual environment we will playing in. You might want to have a pdf of the rules, but that is not essential.

What I provide

The game will be run on Foundry VTT - an excellent virtual environment for playing Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. It will include music, sound effects and the rules.

Gameplay details

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay can contain body horror and a certain amount of psychological horror. If you are concerned by this please do discuss this at the start of the session.

How will character creation work

The virtual environment an excellent character generation routine, automating a lot of the page-flipping. Prior to the first session we will arrange a short 30 minute slot to generate your character.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
