About the adventure

Hollow Earth Expedition is a pulp fiction game set in the late 1930s where heroes are heroes and villains are villains (especially Nazis). The world is in the brink of another world war while secret societies try to find answers to questions better left unanswered. Not everyone knows, but the Earth is hollow and a whole world exists inside that defies science and history. Players are two-fisted pulp heroes solving mysteries related to the Hollow Earth while staying one step ahead of their enemies. HEX captures the feeling of Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, and many others while being also original. HEX runs on the Ubiquity system designed by Exile Studios. It's a very straightforward and fluid system that supports a cinematic game while being deep and complete at the same time. Learn the rules and have an action filled adventure with HEX!

Gameplay details

This is an introductory game for Hollow Earth Expedition (HEX) and it's open to one and all, beginners and advanced alike. We will explore the different attributes and entries in the character sheet as well as the basic rules. We will go through the basics of Roll20 too. This is a pulp fiction setting and as such it's full of two-fisted action, dinosaurs, Nazis, ancient relics, airships, myths, magic and dinosaurs eating Nazis. The heroes are good and the villains are bad, and at the end of the day the heroes shall prevail! You can expect violence and some gore in this game. Some swearing too, but by the villains, never the heroes (and nothing too strong). My games are a safe place and time for everybody. Bullying and harassing are NOT accepted in any case. Be respectful of each other and aim to have a good time, that´s the rule #1. Everybody is accepted as long as they are ok with rule #1. I like roleplaying and history over rules and numbers, and this games makes it easy thanks to its very straightforward system of boons and banes. Expect simple rules and fast resolution along a good narrative. This is a one-shot session game with premade characters and its goal is to work as an introduction to both the rules and the setting for Hollow Earth Expedition, good for new players.
