About the adventure

This 5e Dungeons and Dragons adventure revolves around mystery, murder, and mayhem. The grounds keeper has been found dead at the alter with their heart carved out and missing. Beside his body are faint letters written in presumably their own blood. The letters that are visible are incomplete, only reading "B...E...L..." Who would want to kill the grounds keeper? Why now? Is this a mugging gone wrong or a crime of passion? Will you brave abandoned church yard or can you stay bold while you discover the truth behind the murder, the church, and it's graveyard?

How to prepare

Players will need to have mics. You do not need a Webcam to participate but we must hear you. You should find a quiet place to play. Too much background noise can be distracting. A dog barking here and there is fine, but a TV that is on full volume will be disruptive. You will need to download and run Discord. Thats how we will communicate. Foundry VTT is a virtual tabletop that we'll be using to play the game. It has character sheets, tokens, and much more to make the experience very enjoyable. After you pick an image for your character, I'll make a token for them.

What I provide

I will be providing a paid for Foundry VTT and the sight which hosts it. I'll make tokens from your character images and put in all the necessary information so that you can have a much easier time playing.

Gameplay details

We'll go over Lines and Veils early. Soft and Hard Limits of the Party. Then I'll have everyone set up their characters via Foundry VTT. Everyone will get a blank sheet. We'll discuss the creation rules and if anyone needs nay help I'll be able to do that. After all characters are complete I'll give them a once over to make sure it's all good to go. Then we'll make sure the date and time for the session are perfect. We'll schedule a short session 0 to try out the characters and get a feel for them. (usually an hour or so) Then when everyone is ready we'll do the main one shot. We'll use Discord to keep track of information and use the voice function.

How will character creation work

Characters will be level three. That means all characters will have their archetypes selected. We wont be using multiclassing or variant human as a playable race. We won't be rolling stats, instead the party will use 27 point buy. This ensures a balanced team. We'll also use Average Health rather than rolling for it. Each character will get their starting gear from class and background as well as 150 gold pieces to spend on non-magical gear.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
