About me

Together we craft a world/ narration which will include your ideas, the themes you wish to touch on and the kind of character development you want to see happen. This is a collaborative game, meaning that all players and even me as the GM are in the roles of the narrator, actor and the audience to everything that is happening. While you shape your character's development, you also participate in and at times just be witness to the character development and stories of the other players. To make this work we will always stay in communication and any actions which are cruel, mean or even problematic between two player characters will be discussed beforehand - rule of consent - the other player has to consent to this action. Each player's fun and comfort while playing is the priority to me as your GM. As your GM I aim at creating a world that is immersive to you individually and to the whole group at the same time. I encourage and deliver the opportunity to shape an individual story within the greater frame and will provide individual events, NPCs and challenges that will help you narrate your characters development. At the same time I will offer you challenges that you can but not must tackle as a group. For this I will use stars and wishes and transparent communication to know what your individual aim and what the group's aim is. We will shape this story together and take it in any exciting, adventurous, emotionally and personally deep direction you want and aim for. Expect epic scenes, an immersive story built around your character and character development. I enjoy helping you find your voice and your style of roleplaying. I am highly adaptive and can improvise very well, so the challenges, the NPC’s and the setting are customized to the player. I also will keep an eye that everything fits into the mood and atmosphere of the whole group, so that we can become a unity in diversity together. I will check in multiple times a day, but I will move at the pace of my players. In the beginning of each game I will ask you to build a character with strong motivation. You will be guided through setting up your character game mechanics wise but also guided by questions so that you can start with a clearer vision of what drives your character. Such questions will pop up during gameplay repeatedly and allow you to develop and change your initial motivation as the Game Narrative moves on.

GM style

My trauma-sensitive approach to roleplaying games is designed for support that is based on security, empowerment, solidarity and connection. I seek to: Realize the widespread impact of trauma. Recognize the signs and symptoms of trauma during the game. Integrate knowledge about trauma into procedures and practices. Actively avoid re-traumatization. As we roleplay together, if at any time it becomes too distressing, you have the option to stop. My approach goes beyond being sensitive to trauma and aims to integrate this understanding into all aspects of roleplay. It recognizes the prevalence of trauma and the complex ways it can manifest in people's games. My approach is guided by four assumptions, known as the “Four R's”: Realization about trauma and how it can affect people and groups. Recognition of signs of trauma. Having a system which can Respond to trauma. Resisting re-traumatization. Since roleplaying games can inadvertently create stressful or toxic environments/situations in game that interfere with the well-being of players, I actively engage in specific aspects while running a game, which are essential to me as a GM. These are: Choice (You will always be informed or asked when something sensitive could happen to your character in game), Collaboration (I will be working with you not against you), Communication (we always will keep in touch and establish a system of rapport so you always have oportunities to express your needs), Safety (I use a variety of safety tools and will also point them out during game to make sure they are applied and understood by everybody), Transparency (All conflicts that may arise during game will be transparently handled visible ooc to all players, there will be no behind doors solutions that will get imposed on players).
