About me
I've been part of the roleplaying community since I was 10 years old. My first game was Dungeons & Dragons, taught to me by my great mentor. He introduced me to the game with the hope that I would pass on the art and craft to others, so I've dedicated most of my life to this hobby. I led a small group of game masters in events back in my country, and for over 7 years, with the support of my local government, I taught the game to over 3,000 people in schools, cultural clubs, libraries, and other venues. I love teaching the game to new players; watching them grow from beginners to veterans is one of the main reasons I still run games daily. I'm an established professional now joining StartPlaying to run games. I'm also a writer, hold a tech degree in acting, and consider myself a decent novelist. I have experience in both play-by-post and voice games. A bit about my personal life: I'm a data analyst and a financial market analyst. I mention the latter mostly because I invest daily and am happy to talk about it if you're interested. I've already run several campaigns and am excited to bring more people into my game environment. Most of the money I raise goes toward improving my games, from supporting Patreons and commissioning art from artists to acquiring tools that enhance the experience. Whatever remains feeds my investment hobby.
GM Style
I like to immerse players in a deep narrative where you develop a character from an amateur to one of the key protagonists in the story being told. You'll shine within your chosen set of abilities, playing in such a way that you can see their actions, cry their tears, and feel their wounds. With extensive knowledge of various writings and fandoms, I believe I can improvise at any moment. I have a strong focus on roleplay, including combat. I prefer to narrate combat in a cinematic style, where you can picture a short, vivid scene like in a video game, combined with the imaginative appeal of reading and visualizing it yourself. All of my games incorporate safety tools in one form or another, whether through a session zero as a social contract, forms, or other methods. However, I only use these tools when absolutely necessary, as I understand that for some players, they can disrupt immersion. Finally, I'm a storyteller who believes in using the rule of cool within the rules as written. This means I will follow the rules as closely as possible, but with the flexibility to allow something I believe would be cool for the character to do or that would enhance the story.
