About me

Hello! My name is Leland Vaughan although I usually go by Candlemoth online. I love the medium of RPGs and I'm excited to use this platform to play lots of different game systems that I haven't tried yet and am dying to jump into. I've been DMing and playing for somewhere around 12 years and when I started I never thought I'd be able to get paid to do what I love like this. I read constantly and I'm very interested in what Kurt Vonnegut called 'The Shape of Stories". In that vain, I'm always looking to bring a unique and personalized experience to even pre-made adventures. I've also created my own RPG system that I'll be running on here and with any luck, publishing in the next few years. Check out what games I'm running and let's jump into something together! GM style

I love an interesting system, but I'm not afraid to eschew a few rules in favor of player fun and dramatic story. I enjoy constructing narratives that draw in my players and leave them feeling something like a good book. That means I do try for voices and mannerisms, I won't say they're the best, but they'll defiantly be recognizable, haha. For each game I like to personalize aspects based on my player's characters and backgrounds. This could mean story plots, villains, allies, magic items or quests, you name it!
