    About the adventure

The talk of the streets and taverns has all been about the so-called death curse: a wasting disease afflicting everyone who’s ever been raised from the dead. Victims grow thinner and weaker each day, slowly but steadily sliding toward the death they once denied. When they finally succumb, they can’t be raised—and neither can anyone else, regardless of whether they’ve ever received that miracle in the past. Temples and scholars of divine magic are at a loss to explain a curse that has affected the entire region, and possibly the entire world. The cause is a necromantic artifact called the Soulmonger, which is located somewhere in Chult, a mysterious peninsula far to the south, ringed with mountains and choked with rainforests. In this campaign of Tomb of Annihilation I'm looking for experienced players ready for a challenge. We'll be doing it meat grinder style, meaning there will be some differences in the way that some mechanics are used compared to regular D&D. Inquire within if you're up for a challenge.

    How to prepare

A microphone and access to Discord are required. We use Roll20 for dice rolling and character sheets so not much else is needed besides a relatively stable internet connection.

    What I provide

I will have the whole Tomb of Annihilation campaign loaded into Roll20 as well as dynamic lighting available to use. I will be making character tokens during the session 0 as well and setting up dynamic lighting. I have access to quite a few of the source books on Roll20 so the sky's the limit with character creation! I do not allow most spells and classes from the Wildemount campaign setting book and do not have it available to me. If you really want to play something from that book shoot me a message and I'll discuss it with you! The primary goal is for you to have fun.

    Gameplay details

This game contains heavy themes of horror and death, and has elements of survival. Think "Naked and Afraid", but D&D. In order to play this campaign you will need to complete a Tabletop RPG Safety & Consent Checklist. We will be using the "RPG Safety Tools" (A series of cards to move the game along should the topic at hand become uncomfortable for a player) provided by EvilHat Productions on Roll20 during game as well as ending every session with "Stars and Wishes", which can be also known as "Roses and Thorns", or a "Highlight Reel and Wrap Party". The jungles of Chult are harsh, unforgiving, and full of unexplored ruins containing dangers untold so keep that in mind as you play!

    How will character creation work

Character creation happens during a session 0 before the game starts, and that will always be free. Characters are required to have at least one usable copy in Roll20 but many players like to use the 'Beyond20' D&DBeyond plugin which is also fine. As long as I am able to access your character sheet if you need help or if you have an emergency we're golden! I do also encourage you to think about what *you* want to play, not necessarily what the party composition needs. Characters will be starting at level 1-2 depending on how many people we have for the session.

    Players can expect
