About the adventure

ReGenesis takes place in a homebrew fantasy world largely inspired by 16th century Europe, though it does have its anachronisms. Our story begins in a time of peace, in the riverside farming/lumber town of Timbershire, home not only to a booming merchantry and bustling populace, but to the premier institution for independent arcane study, Trimount Abbey. Whatever business brought you to Timbershire is interrupted by strange attacks and disappearances, which, upon investigation, will reveal threats unlike anything the world has ever seen...or at least, that it can remember. This campaign is meant for characters level 1-20, operates on a milestone leveling system, and will span multiple campaign settings, including an original homebrew world, Faerun, Eberron, and Theros. Gameplay will take place virtually over Zoom, while notes and information will be given a dedicated Discord.

How to prepare

We will be using Zoom and Discord to play. If you prefer to use your own dice, like I do, by all means do so, but D&D Beyond grants you a virtual, editable character sheet and virtual dice. I highly encourage players to use a notebook as well, as this campaign will be lore-heavy and have several recurring NPCs.

What I provide

First and foremost, I'll provide the D&D Beyond campaign for everyone to create their characters in. I love concept art, so I will bring along what images I can find that give a sense of who or what I'm describing. Further, I rely a lot on theatre of the mind.

Gameplay details

Session 0 will be used to go over logistical/lore details of the world, but also to address/discuss matters of RPG consent, X/N/O communication, and desired playstyle. The latter conversation will continue throughout play, and at the end of every session or two I like to check in with the players and debrief.

How will character creation work

Characters will start at level 1 and may be created on D&D Beyond. Ideally, they would be created during or after Session 0, but before Session 1. There are some races that will not be in play for plot purposes, but exceptions can be made if it makes sense.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
