About the adventure

Strange passages in a crumbling scroll mention an accursed moor, haunted by the spectres of a people conquered by betrayal and cruelty. You hear a tavern tale about an enterprising cadre of bandits using a cursed moor to stash treasure, believing the stories of ghosts would keep their horde safe. Digging deeper, you uncovered guild ledgers detailing several failed expeditions into the moor, either to lift the curse, find the bandit's treasure, or both. This one-shot adventure set in Sorrowmoor, a MAZES universe locale, runs on the POLYMORPH SYSTEM. Each player only ever uses ONE polyhedral die: a d4, a d6, a d8, or a d10. Each die represents a different character “role” in the group. Whenever a player asks “can I do something?” they roll their die and with a quick glance at a resolution matrix, know if they succeed. There is NEVER any math involved (no modifiers, no masters). Depending on the game world and what kind of character that you are playing, you may roll with advantage or disadvantage (or not need to roll at all); and the MC (the person running the game) never rolls dice.
