About the adventure

Since you were little your village has been terrorized by the horrific creatures living high up in the keep. The time has come to fight back. It is time for You and the few other remaining able bodied villagers to grab your pitchforks and torches and put an end to this once and for all! Kanve 2e is the brand new update of the successful classless OSR. Compatible with DnD but simplified to be more functional and emphasizing creativity and roleplay over dice rolls, it is truly an exceptionally executed game. This adventure is an excellent opportunity to try out this system, dip your toes into OSR or even into RPGs in general. In a world inspired by the adventures of Conan and rooted in Southeast-Asian mythology you can face new challenges and monsters on this epic journey. You can discover mysterious kingdoms and dangerous dungeons. And most importantly, you, as a player, can decide what adventures you tackle and how you shape the history of this young world.

How to prepare

Players will need discord and a microphone to play. Camera optional. We will use Foundry VTT to handle all the record keeping but physical dice are welcome. Hop on the discord server and feel free to ask any questions. https://discord.gg/nzydwqvQXu

What I provide

I will bring all the virtual assets needed (Foundry VTT, maps, tokens, images). I am also happy to point my camera at my homemade dungeon terrain for the tactical parts of the battle if that's the group preference.

Gameplay details

On session 0 we will discuss lines and veils and will use the X card during the games. After the session we will do a debriefing to make sure everyone is happy with the direction the adventure is going. The amount of combat will be always down to the players - most situations will have solutions other than direct confrontation and the game actively encourages players to take these (if they want to stay alive that is). Players will have the chance to discuss tactics both for them and their retainers (or hirelings). If players will die (sometimes the dice gods are not in our favour) I will prioritize getting a new character back in the game. I am always happy for characters roleplaying and I will give it as much space as the players wish. The amount of puzzles will be down to popular demand, I can amp them up or scrap them as required.

How will character creation work

I will bring 4 randomly genarated level 0 characters to each player. Level 0 characters will be without class and it is expected that not all of them will survive - that is why there is a few of them for each player. At the end of the adventure the survivors will become Level 1 and can continue adventuring with class and all that fancy stuff.
