About the adventure

This is an Age of Lost Omens, and Iblydos, land of prophecy and myth, has felt that loss keenly. Even the former protectors of the land are rapidly losing ground, as people lose faith in them and turn towards darker practices to protect what matters to them. Will you be able to secure a future for the land, beyond myth and prophecy? Iblydos: Fading Gods is a campaign that takes place in the world of Golarion, and specifically in the Iblydos region of it. This is a land inspired by Greek mythology and themes. As this campaign is not a pre-written module, and there is little details about it in official material, I have worked to flesh out the region and its inhabitants. This is in order to provide players with the best experience possible, and a chance to explore such themes in Pathfinder Second Edition!

How to prepare

You will need headphones, a microphone, and a personal computer (Foundry does not work on tablets or mobile devices). You will also need Discord and an account on the Forge; no purchase is necessary for either of those.

What I provide

- I will create my own maps, when required. Especially world maps and region maps. - I will provide and maintain a server for the game, hosted on the Forge. - I will be using music fit for the situation. - I will be weaving players' backstories with the world, and use plot points that involve these backstories. - By playing in this campaign, you get access to the full PF2e content, as provided by Foundry.

Gameplay details

During Session 0, I usually go over the content warnings expected for this game, and I make sure my players are not only comfortable with those, but check up if they have anything to add. I also go over the expectations of the players and my expectations as a DM as well. There is a 10 minute break in the middle of the session (usually around two hours after start time). I check up on my players' feelings verbally once the session has ended. I ask if they had fun and encourage them to provide feedback, either in public or in private.

How will character creation work

The primer for this game, provided when players sign up, contains all the information necessary for players to prepare themselves for character creation. Character creation is done during Session 0. A player may pre-plan their character as much as they would like, but it is heavily recommended that they go through Session 0 before settling on any final details. Characters will start at level 1, and the Free Archetype variant rule is used for this campaign.

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium
  • Roleplay: High
  • Puzzles: Low
