About the adventure

It’s Honeycon 2021. You are going to undertake the greatest heist the world has ever seen. Two Things – One: You have a complex plan that requires precise timing. Two: You are a BEAR. Honey Heist is a one-shot tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) where all of the players are bears. Literally. And their goal? To heist a buttload of honey from some stronghold! The specifics are up to the Honey Master (HM), or it could be random! Players have two stats, Bear and Criminal, which both start at 3. If they want to be intimidating, destroy something, attack a human, that’s the bear stat – and for everything non-bear related, there’s the criminal stat. The player rolls a D6 every time they want to do something, and if the number on the die is equal to or less than the relevant stat, they succeed! Additionally, if the roll is successful and the plan goes off without a hitch, you move one point from Bear to Criminal. Likewise, if the plan fails, the player moves a point from Criminal to Bear because they get frustrated. If you ever get to 6 in either stat, you go full Bear or Criminal, and all hell breaks loose! How to prepare

Voice will be through discord. You will receive an invite to the Cobalt's Quest server. Locate the name of the game and click on the Gaming voice channel. Video is optional.

What I provide

I will provide all the rules and character sheets I will provide maps and tokens for players unless players have tokens they wish to provide.

Gameplay details

This game will immerse you into being a criminal bear. This game contains bear violence and We'll be using Roll20 for maps, lighting, resources and more. We'll use a combination of strategic combat using gridded maps, and more narrative, theater-of-the-mind combat when appropriate. Roleplay is highly suggested. You don't have to use a special voice for your character but acting as your character in terms of behaviors, decisions, and values (just to name a few), is essential. Knowledge of the rules is helpful but not necessary. You can learn as you play along. I use lines and veils for safety. Lines and veils set boundaries on content for a game. Lines are hard limits on content. They are things that the players don’t want in the game. Veils are things that are ok to be suggested at but to not be shown.Lines and veils can be adjusted as needed throughout the game. This game contains fantasy violence. I have a zero tolerance policy on the following in or out of game: SEXUAL ASSAULT (OF ANY KIND) RACISM / HOMOPHOBIA / SEXISM

How will character creation work

Players will receive a link to all the rules and character sheets before the game.Players will create a character in the first 15 minutes of the game using the super easy character creation rules.
