Guide to Kroma One-Shot TTRPG

About the adventure

This is the provided one-shot TTRPG provided in Eve Greenwood and Spire Eaton's wonderful Guide to Kroma. This is a sweet, friendly, wholesome game with low violence and lots of love. ----------------------- Welcome to Kroma, a city of wonderful opposites. The traditional wooden homes of Ayu Aghino nestled alongside the bright, angular structures of Aye Enghuyu; home to the right heritage of the Oroshadan but also the famed Nezthenri E-Sports stadium; cradled both by open waters of the sea and the towering Kromebat Mountains of the East. The citizens of Kroma, referred to colloquially as sansek, write and speak in Zhavise, the name of this people's culture. Of the 10 months in the Zhavise calendar, you arrive here on the second-to-last day of Muiin, the last month of spring and the beginning of the oyivorako firn, or in our language, the Flower Festival, the time when the streets overflow with floral decoration and people anxiously discuss what the Flower of the Year may be. Just walking the streets you see the most abundant, exotic flowers blooming along building walls, rails, streetlamps, and even people's already explosively rainbow-colored clothing have vines and petals adorning them. However you are not simply here for these festivities; you are here for a wedding between two of your long-time friends. As their closest friends you are no simple attendees but in fact have a hand in preparing the celebration itself. Ordinarily a wedding would take place in a temple, but given the Flower Festival being underway the groom and bride-to-be have opted to have their wedding outdoors. This is not only unorthodox but somewhat dangerous as it is rainbow storm season. Off in the distance, in the sky you see a giant multi-colored rift in the sky, with colorful clouds melding and swirling gracefully inside, with multicolored clouds slowly seeping out onto the horizon as you approach the wedding location.

How to prepare

This is a livestream so we WILL be using mic AND webcams! All other assets will be provided through the Foundry VTT. Bring a good attitude and a willingness to have a fun, easy game of hanging out with friends and exploring a locale!

Gameplay details

This is a mostly nonviolent, very friendly and gentle game. We will establish Lines and Veils in session 0 (or in the Discord chat), and we will implement the X card system, though I won't always be looking at the webcam, so feel free to type an X in the chat during the game or verbally let me know we need to pause and reassess for a moment - you will never be belittled or ridiculed for doing so.

How will character creation work

Character creation is VERY simple, and you'll be choosing between 3-4 pre-selected "classes" that are citizens of Kroma and are based on the lore of the world. We will handle this at session 0 or over Discord.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
