About the adventure

Clemence Gastly and her family have unusual interests and obsessions, but they're not evil, just misunderstood. After too many incidents involving peasants, pitchforks and torches, they've taken to heart the family motto - Noli Turbare Vicini (Don't disturb the neighbors). They keep their hobbies and appetites in check (mostly). So when their Halloween seance goes awry and "something else" shows up in the summoning circle, the Gastlys must solve the problem quickly and quietly, or their nice suburb will turn against them - if it survives. Fortunately, this is the one night of the year they can be themselves in public. THE CAST: Clemence Gastly - necromancer. Indigo Gastly - teenage witch. Logan Gastly - dhampir. Leo daSilva - mad scientist. Smith - Leo's monster. Olayinka - almost a werewolf. Kayin Kuo - Logan's pet spider. TONE: Funny-creepy; Addams, Buffy.

How to prepare

Be vaccinated! Dice and a pen or pencil if you like, but I will have plenty for those who don't have them. Bring money for food or drinks if you wish.

Gameplay details

This game will be played LIVE in North Denver, at the Great Hall, a boardgame and geek bar just reopened under new ownership. Near 120th Avenue and I-25. ALL ATTENDEES MUST BE VACCINATED; if you are not vaccinated, please respect this and find something else to do that night. Food, drinks and alcohol are available for purchase onsite. $5 of your game fee will go to the serving staff as a tip, ensuring that they will be compensated for their time and space for hosting this game. You are of course welcome and encouraged to tip them more if you feel inclined. Although alcohol is available, this is an all-ages location; if you plan to drink, bring ID. Despite the horror tropes, this light hearted romp is great for families to play together. Lots of problem solving, a bit of combat. The Radiance RPG system will feel familiar to anyone who's played D&D.
