About the adventure

Have you ever felt like playing a tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG), but didn’t care to have to read through an intimidating rulebook, or pour over a Player’s Handbook for hours just trying to figure out what character you wanted to play? Or simply just wanted to drop in, play a game for a couple hours with friends, and be done? Thankfully, there is a subset of TTRPGs made specifically for this reason. One-Sheet TTRPGs are, generally, rules-light games that you sit down, randomly come up with your characters, and jump right into the game. They can be serious and deep, they can be unhinged and zany, and everywhere in between. Come along for the ride, as we start with the famed One-Sheet TTRPG by Grant Howitt, “Honey Heist!” In this, you will be bears in Faerun, living in the Southwood, just south of the town of Loudwater. A stray dog in town has heard of a shipment of honey traveling through town en route to the coast. This seems, to you, to be a fantastic opportunity for a Honey Heist! If you’re in the mood for a light-hearted, shenanigan-filled game where you’re simply bears trying to get some honey in a world of might and magic, this is the game for you!

Additional Details

How to prepare

All you need to prepare is to create a free account on VorpalBoard.com and a working microphone. A webcam is beneficial, but not necessary if you don't have access to it. If you wish to download the Honey Heist sheet, you can feel free. If not, that's fine! I'll have it available for you. If you have physical dice you want to roll, that's totally fine, otherwise Vorpal Board has digital dice on the platform.

What I provide

I'll bring the platform, and the one-sheet rules for anyone that needs them. Beyond that, nothing else is needed for you to have a great time!

Gameplay details

Players in One-Sheet One Shots can expect a fast paced, rules light experience where fun is placed ahead of the rules and mechanics of the game. Come and enjoy a light-hearted game that emphasizes roleplay and fun!

How will character creation work

We'll do a quick character creation at the beginning of the session (it only takes about 10-15 minutes), where players can either choose their characters based on the one-sheet guide given to them, or they can roll on the tables provided and see what they get! Either is acceptable!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
