About the adventure

Curse of Strahd is a gothic horror adventure that takes the players on a course through the land Barovia that culminates with a confrontation at Castle Ravenloft. Is it an extremely well written module? No! Is the book laid out in a way that makes it easy on the DM? No! Are encounters appropriately balanced for the PC's levels? No! Does it avoid harmful tropes, stereotypes, and theme? No! Do I take the time to customize the campaign for my players, so that the module is compelling and engaging? Yes! Do I balance out the combat encounters appropriately? Yes! Do I change some of the baked in content so as to avoid those harmful tropes, stereotypes, and themes? Yes! I bothered to read through this campaign book and customize it in a way that makes the module fun and exciting without sacrificing much of the setting, lore, or concepts. I do my best to make this a module that anyone can play regardless of experience, and I also work hard to give each PC their own moment to shine!

How to prepare

Please at least have a mic! I won't require anyone to use a camera. We'll go over the rules in our session zero, where we will create our characters. Please have your sheets and dice ready for each session!

What I provide

I will provide illustrations for each NPC, as well as top-down maps of each area and location, I have plenty of physical dice should I need to roll for you, and I will bring as many character voices as I can!

Gameplay details

I typically start with a session zero, where we all create our characters, set boundaries, and provide a preview into the campaign itself. I can run the campaign as quickly or as slowly as needed. How will character creation work

In our session zero, I will walk you through the process of character creation if need be. Otherwise, you're free to use D&D Beyond's character creation or make a character sheet the good old fashioned way!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
