Intro for Beginners - House of Lament | New Players Welcome
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
The wind howls through the barren trees as you approach the crumbling manor, its silhouette a jagged scar against the storm-darkened sky. The House of Lament stands at the edge of the world, its very presence pulling you into a forgotten place where the past refuses to die. This will be a short 2-5 session adventure designed to teach Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition (2014) to new players or offer a chance for experienced players to play a quick adventure. This will be a horror themed adventure that I have run a couple times before that takes players from 1st level to 3rd level in the span of a couple in-game days as you explore the House of Lament. It can be a deadly adventure, so teamwork and the possibility of Character Death are things to keep in mind. House of Lament works best when all the players take the game seriously and are present for the entirety of the session's length. Be sure to read the content warnings below if you have any triggers and feel free to message me as well if you have any questions.

Obligatory this is my fiancé and he's awesome. Zanoth does a great job as a GM, he's good at describing details and thinking of ways to get the party spurred into action. He's good at taking player ideas and rolling with them, leading to some fun times. I've been in at least 4 different campaigns that he's run and I've had a blast every time.
Zanoth has made such an amazing DM this past few months! Our game is still going but he has done such a wonderful job fleshing out the Curse of Stradh, from proving great voice acting to creating challenging combat encounters, he truly makes the world come alive with the amount of effort and passion he puts into his work.
Zanoth does an amazing job as a DM. He has a great personality and attitude. He knows the rules well and is fair. He is interested in his players feedback and works to ensure all his players ideas and feedback is considered. Although we are still early in our campaign, I would have zero hesitation in recommending him as a DM. If you are able to play in one of his games I’m sure you won’t regret the decision.

How will character creation work
-Characters must be on Roll20 and finished at least 24 hours before session 0. I recommend that you do NOT use the Charactermancer, as it will limit your options severely. -If you wish to roll for stats, we can do that during session 0 IN-GAME; otherwise we will use the official Point-Buy rules. -Starting level is 1, ending level will be 3. -Anything from the 2014 Player's Handbook, Xanathar's, Tasha's, or the Mordenkainen books is allowed.
