CJ hits all the bulletpoints for what makes a great DM - wonderful descriptions, balances roleplaying/exploration/combat, *does the voices*, and knows the rules. He is very fair in his rulings, and doesn't shy from poor outcomes, be they due to poor decision-making on the part of the players or just plain bad luck. I've never known him to "dial it in" when running a game - every time he's been my game master it's been a passion project for him. Oh yeah, and he's excellent at improv. Not just "DM-good", but good-enough-to-be-in-an-improv-troupe good.
Krissy runs great games. She puts in a lot of work and passion when turning her vision into a plan for her games, but come game time, she absolutely focuses in on the players' experience, prioritizing player creativity, agency, and enjoyment. She does an excellent job striking a balance between letting players do their thing and knowing when to facilitate moving the adventure forward. For example, she'll make sure a group possessing a myriad of diverse skills and abilities doesn't spend 45 minutes negotiating a curious-looking door. Krissy *does not* shy away from character deaths (depending on what everyone is cool with), be they by mistake or bad luck, which makes tense moments truly exciting. Having told our group once that she was having "a bit of an adrenaline hangover this morning", it's also clear that she shares in the groups highs and lows, taking time to praise good roleplaying or great ideas. I'd highly recommend her as a GM.
