    About the adventure

You are defense contractors for the Thayan Guild of Foreign Trade, a magic crafters guild that sells magical tools and spells across the continent of Faerûn. The guild is always on the hunt for ancient ruins and lost magics. Your job, explore ruins and guard the archologists while they unearth secrets from long gone civilizations. There may be monsters protecting the archeological sites or the threat of other treasure hunters who seek the prize at all costs. The powerful ancient empires of Narfell and Netheril have many undiscovered treasures, but their hubris with magic led to their downfall. Will you be wise with the treasures you find? Protect your teammates, find treasures to keep or sell to your guild, enhance your wealth and power as you explore. ____________________________ The campaign will be focused on the pillars of Exploration and Roleplay with some Combat. We will be bringing elements from earlier editions forward such as building strongholds or owning a tavern. In addition we will bring forward non-combat utility spells from earlier editions for various classes. We expect to go beyond Level 20 by using DMs Guild expansions and adapting earlier edition Epic Rules.

    Gameplay details

We will be starting at Level 10. You may choose any character class from the Players Handbook (2014). Alignment is removed from this campaign along with spells and devices that work on alignment. As per the Forgotten Realms setting race/class restrictions are removed. Upon reaching Level 9 you will have the option to build a fortress, temple, tavern, or other stronghold and attract a flock of followers in addition to mercenaries you may hire. We will use Stronghold Builder’s Guidebook and Power of Faerûn for the strategic elements of the campaign. This will be a high interaction with NPCs style campaign with heavy roleplay. Combat can be deadly. Diplomatic or surprise solutions are your key to survival. Choose when to take a risk to reap the reward.
