About me
Hello my name is Trent and I am a D&D addict. I've been running two to three games a week for 10 years, and somehow still find time to play in one game a week and watch all of Critical Role, Dimension Twenty, Naddpod, Matt Colville's videos, Web DM, and so much more. My friends and family are concerned for me. So naturally I figure I might try to make money off my addiction.
GM Style
My style is very adaptive to what the players want, and the campaign calls for. I have run very story driven epics, simulationist sandboxes, dungeon crawls, farces, heists, etc. I adore session long, beat down bloody and tactical fights as well as long stretches of relaxing, hilarious, or dramatic roll play. When it comes to the Great DM's of Actual Plays, I'd say my style and aspirations align closest with Brendan Lee Mulligan of Dimension 20. The complex conspiracies of interweaving story threads, the difficult and creative battles, and the roll play that swings wildly back and forth from tear jerking to rib splitting.

Storytelling

Inclusive
This guy took Princes of the Apocalypse, a very dull and uninspired module, and he poured a ton of custom content into it. He fleshed out NPCs, developed the town and story according to our actions, and transformed the entire adventure into something that we recount as being one of our best adventures yet. And that was years ago. In the time since then, he has only gotten better and better at his craft. I highly recommend his games to anyone that wants epic and hilarious stories to tell years from now.
I've played 3 games for this DM over 6 years. Receptive - He's open to player opinions about the game, tailoring the campaign to maximize the players' enjoyment. He's also incredibly prompt in responding to messages, and proactively seeks feedback from player both prior to and throughout the campaign. Knowledgeable - This DM knows his stuff. He understands the mechanics and progression of each class, as well as a wide pool of spells and game mechanics. This makes him a great guide for players learning new classes, and speeds up gameplay with fewer "let me look that up" breaks. The games we played were all online, with players in different time zones. His organization and knowledge of our platforms made orchestrating and running games run smoothly. I never felt that being online in any way detracted from the experience. This is both a nod to his immersive storytelling and technical proficiency. Imaginative - He puts a lot of creative effort into his settings, NPCs, and political complexity. I came to every game excited to participate in a unique story, and frequently stayed after to have long conversations about the day's events. He also allows for a lot of player creativity. He's willing to make balanced changes to game rules, character builds, and occasionally action economy to make each player's character feel unique and allow fun things to happen. Yes, he's a fan of the "Rule of Cool", but I think it's important that he's also balanced and fair to all players.
