About me

I am a GM with over 10 years of experience across multiple systems and will gladly run a game for you! I do take requests and you can message me on Discord or here on StartPlaying. My philosophy as a GM is to empower fun. I am interested in compelling narratives that develop through play and I always want to encourage players to take risks, think outside the box and try new things. I can offer Players Play-By-Post (PBP) games at this time and can run them for as few as just a single person or as many as 5 or 6. If you have an adventure of game you'd like me to run just ask! I found Dungeons and Dragons in the late 90's with the original Baldur's Gate and 2E. I took a break from TTRPG's for a few years but I never stopped playing CRPG's and consuming every kind of fantasy and science fiction content I could get my hands on. As a young adult I returned to TTRPG's and D&D 4E specifically. I was immediately thrust into the role of GM and have never looked back. While I do enjoy being a player from time to time, I really love being a GM. My proudest moments in a game are those rare moments of true inspiration or accomplishment a group can feel during a session. The conversations that live on years later about "that dragon we slayed" or "when the dragonborn deliberately threw the halfing into the oncoming Wyvern's mouth" are what I live for. GM style

- I love to GM and love reacting to the things Players come up with - I use the rules as written as a starting framework for play. - I have no problem incorporating homebrew or bending the rules were necessary to further enjoyment of the story, as long as it's not completely game breaking! - It is very important to me that anyone who wants to play an RPG is welcomed and able to do so. I will not tolerate disrespect towards others in my games. - I want to tell interesting stories, but not at the expense of any of the players comfort. I'm not interested in alienating players or making anyone in my games feel unsafe or uncomfortable. - I have a strong command of the rules for the systems I run and the official lore presented by those games publishers. - I am not beholden to that lore however! The most important lore is what happens in our game! - I am capable of operating many game aids/tools including D&D Beyond, Avrae Discord Bot, Above VTT, Roll20, and Owlbear Rodeo.
