Speste does a good job of recapping sessions, filling the space between goals with encounters and trying to immerse his players in the world using the VTT mechanics. He is timely when it comes to starting and finishing the session as scheduled and open to talking out ideas you may have about your character or the game. He is easy going and if you see a game he is running that interest you I recommend you give him a try.

I'm a new player to D&D and I'm doing my first campaign ever with Spence and it's been an absolute blast. He's been really helpful and understanding since I'm still learning not only the rules, but the systems of DND Beyond and Foundry. He's also been really cooperative with me in helping me figure out my character. And if you need him outside of the session, he's easy to get a hold of and will respond to you.

Spence has been a great DM to play with. Battles are a huge part of D&D and he has a firm grasp on how to create a thrilling and challenging fight. The enemies (and other npcs for that matter) feel alive and as if they are making decisions as themselves, not as a dm playing as themselves. I would recommend Spence to any player from beginner level to advanced. He is a patient and knowledgeable teacher and an experienced and creative dm in general.

I've been playing with Spencer as my Dm for a while now. I appreciate the freedoms he gives us. He is on point with keeping combat challenging, helps stimulate creative strategy on our part as the party. If I have an idea for a character or want to go a direction he'll work with me to make it happen.
