About me

Sean (he/they) is a educator, artist, community organizer, and game designer who is INCREDIBLY passionate about the indie tabletop roleplaying scene. (It's an exciting place, you know?) Sean is the author of many highly acclaimed games, including LONG HAUL 1983, TATTOO, and the FAKE CHESS series. When you sit down at Sean's table, you're in a safe and welcoming space that celebrates collaboration and values each player's unique contributions.

GM style

Playing an RPG should be deeply collaborative. We're all playing a game together to craft a story that no one could make on their own. Everyone at the table is an author of our story, and everyone has contributions to make. I'm always a fan of the players and characters. (Some folks dig the GM-versus-players model. That's not me.) I use the language of cinema -- cuts, zooms, montages, badass slo-mo moments, etc. -- to help build the narrative and spotlight the characters. Great GMs are also great teachers. I love to seamlessly weave the teaching of a system into the gameplay.
