About Samantha

Hi there! My name is Samantha, but you can call me Sam. I've been running games online and offline since 2016 (starting with D&D 5e when it was new), so I have a little bit of experience as a GM. In that time, I've also run campaigns and one-shots in a variety of other systems, including Call of Cthulhu, Dungeon World, and Thirsty Sword Lesbians. I like trying new things and being flexible at the table, so whether you're a newcomer or a veteran player, I'm confident I can run a (story-focused) adventure that will suit your needs. My table is always queer-friendly and I strive to be inclusive of players' other identities and safety needs as well.

I got started GMing...

back in 2016, when D&D 5e was still new, so I've refined my approach to running games as the system has grown, and as I've branched out and learned other systems (including Call of Cthulhu, my current favorite). 5e is still special to me for the way it made D&D feel approachable, unlike how 3.5 did.

Comes to my game with an idea already in mind for their character's personality, backstory, and maybe even internal conflicts that could lead to an interesting story arc for them at the table. It really makes me happy when I can build a story around what players have brought to their characters!
