About Roman
Ever wanted to see what a Dungeon Master's mind looks like? No, you don't. Trust me. But I'm the one who can give you that experience you've been looking for. As a full time voice actor, theater kid (flashback to the 90s please no), and lover of all things nerdy, I've wanted to bring my creations and entertainment to the masses... except I don't have a sponsor yet. Besides that point, I'm not a rules DM per se, setting me aside from many a GM I know and have heard of. I like the weird, quirky games but also a sprinkle of horror and terrifying beauty that makes your level 20 toon look back at their level 1 self and wonder who they are.

I became a GM because
My friends encouraged me to do it. I grew up with a small friend group of likeminded D&D players and we needed a GM. So I said "why not?" and took up the mantle. I later became a paid GM again at the encouragement of my friends.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Usually voicing narrations for audiobooks, playing a variety of other games or tending to my small farm.
How Roman runs games
I prefer no style. Generally, the players I've had the pleasure of working with lean into roleplay (a healthy 60/40 ratio of rp/combat). However, I do love a good dungeon crawl if that is what the table is calling for. Players at my table can plan, plot, scheme, devise, argue and debate all they want out of character if they need to. In the end, I'm here to tell your story and you're here to let me do that. As a voice actor, I can really make these games immersive, combining diversity of characters with great background ambience and I will always give out detailed descriptions.

I deal with rules issues by...
Making a call on the spot after a short study on the situation. If a player still has an issue, they can come to me during a break or after the game. We're all here to have fun and take up as little time as possible in respect to our fellow players.
My games focus on...
Fun first and foremost. Rules are there as our bumpers on the track. The story and making my table memorable are the most important things.
Roman's ideal table
I try to keep my table relaxed, comical and hopefully leaving an impression that they will always remember. We go by the book but we don't slap people with it. Sometimes you need to step out of the page in order to see the rest of the chapter. Roleplay comes before combat, and number crunching comes dead last here.

I love it when a player
Takes initiative. I'm here to guide you through the choices that you, the player, make.
I think it's a red flag when players...
Roll before describing what they're doing, power game/power build, or try to take the spotlight at all times. This is a group/team game, period.
I think metagaming...
Is only acceptable in very niche situations.
