About me

I've been playing RPGs since I was in grade school (1990ish), and DM'ing them for decades. My focus is on fairness - to each player and the integrity of my world. If you do something fun or cool, you get rewarded, and if you do something dumb, you get the consequences. I let my players guide the worlds I create, though the dice also lend a little chaos to help guide the story in unpredictable ways. I don't like railroading players beyond what's necessary; imagine an open sandbox to explore with major goals to unravel as players see fit. I love being outsmarted, even if it ruins my plans. I expect my parties to all be on the same page; for good or for evil, they're a team, and should be working together as perpetual allies.

GM style

I love setting up players to role-play and debate with each other; I'm not here to hog the attention, but I certainly do voices and speeches for my NPCs. I don't mind when we skip the details and focus on what's important with interactions as well though. I like combat that is technical, challenging, and goes at a quick pace - be ready to know what you're doing with your turn (though questions and creativity are great).
