About Jared

I have been playing RPGs for over 30 years and have GMed games for 25 of those years. I like to run character centric games with an even balance of combat. I started in AD&D and eventually moved into the Pathfinder RPG. I have played the Pathfinder roleplay game since its first edition came out in 2009 and was involved in the second edition play test. Gaming is for everyone and should be a fun experience for all!

How Jared runs games

I love every aspect of the hobby, but my favorite is creating an interactive story with the players. I would say that my games averages 50% roleplay and 50% combat encounters. This does vary based on where a game is at. I discourage min/maxing but am ok if you do it because I want you to play the character you want to play.

If I don't know the rule off the top of my head i make a quick ruling and then check later. If it is life or death for a character we slow down and make sure we are right.

I enjoy tables that like to have little character bander in game while we are crawling. It takes a little pleasure of me and helps get the table into their characters. I will say I am not an actor, but, I am a role player I will get into a character and will do voices and accents, but I don't claim to be good at them.

I think it's a red flag when players...

don't want to work together because "that's what their character would do." I will also not tolerate a player pushing the lines and boundaries' set by another player.
