About OldeGreybeard
I've been running D&D games for more than 10 years. My first meaningful experience with D&D was 4th edition. While I can DM games for 4e and 5e, my preference is 4th edition. My favorite part of the game is the storytelling and improvisation along with helping those that are new to the game. Whatever your level of experience, my goal is to create an enjoyable experience for everyone.

I got started GMing...
When I bought the D&D 4e Red Box Starter Set. I was playing with my family and I was the only one that wanted to run the game. I loved it and it has been my preference ever since.
My favorite system of all Time is
Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition (4e). I think every system has merits. This was my first game and it is still my favorite.
How OldeGreybeard runs games
My goal as a GM is to let the players to drive the story. I value having fun over strictly adhering to the rules. The more creative the players are, the more likely I will say, "Yes. Give it a try." I am not an actor, but I love creating NPCs on the fly and winging it. I live by the first rule of improvisation, "Always say yes." The best times are often when things go off the rails. I run games in Roll20 so that we have access to a tactical map when needed. I use Discord for audio/video.

Rules are...
a guide and open to interpretation in a way that makes the most sense for the table.
When it comes to voices
I might have a go at something if I am feeling it, but usually it is my own voice maybe sped up or slowed down. I am not a voice actor but still try to make it interesting.

My table is not the place for...
crude language or sensitive material. We are just having fun and keeping it friendly. Imagine we are in a local game store. If you would not do it there, then it will not fit at my table.
