About Emi
A laid-back DM who loves to laugh at and with her players when they just think of the most outrageous things. I've been playing for over a decade now, but I've been declared as a forever DM for about 5 years and just fell in love with it. People commission me to write adventures for them, so I usually have a LOT of adventures and encounters ready!

I became a GM because
of my god-complex. A more serious answer: I love story-telling, world building, and seeing players/characters grow.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Chaotic, god-complex, and adaptable. If there was a fourth option, it would probably be lucky (with my rolls).
When I'm not running games I'm...
Reading, travelling, or failing my Wisdom saving throws (in games and IRL).
How Emi runs games
Roleplay, combat, world building and homebrews! I'm terrible with voices, but I do find myself leaning more towards roleplay and world building. I love laughing with my players and having them surprise me.

I once ran a session...
where my warlock and barbarian decided to, and I quote, "jump out a window in a JJK (Jijutsu Kaisen) pose to land on their feet" from the top of a tower. Because it was so ridiculous, I decided to humor them and said that if they both rolled nat 20s, they would stick the landing unharmed. They did.
My games focus on...
The characters and the world around them. I live for banter, small moments, and making sure everyone's having a good time. Character arcs are my favorite things to unfold.
Rules are...
The foundation of the game, but can easily be played around if need be (as long as it's not going to break my games).
Emi's ideal table
People who have different personalities and can input different outlooks on situations. I do love chaos and banter. I love it when they're not afraid to tackle difficult decisions and argue as long as they keep it ON the table. I LIVE for the drama. As long as we're all laughing, having a good time, and respecting each other as players, I don't see an issue.

I love it when a player
describes what they're going to do instead of just rolling a check. Or argue with me on why it should a different roll. Just tell me want you guys want.
I think it's a red flag when players...
is obviously doing something else while playing (on their phone, playing another game, etc etc.). It's extremely disrespectful to the DM and everyone who showed up.
My perfect party mix is
like a sushi platter (I'm writing this while hungry). There's different flavors and different colors. Sometimes they clash, sometimes they go well together. In the end, they just make a beautiful display of asian culinary cuisine.
