About me

I'm Natalie, a twenty-eight year old GM from them United States. I've been a long time fan of D&D, starting my journey almost twelve years ago. Since then I've played numerous different campaigns, game systems, and characters. I mostly play/run 5e D&D, but I have branched out other TTRPG's such as: Vampire the Masquerade, Call of Cthulhu, Pathfinder, and more.

GM Style

I'm a very narrative focused DM. I like to create a compelling story and build characters which are fun and interesting. I love making connections (when it makes sense) to player characters to fully involve their characters to the world/campaign. The more you write for your character, the more I can work with. I'm a big fan of "the slow burn", it just makes those pivotal moment so much more impactful when you've spent countless hours preparing for it. As far of mechanical style, it really depends on the type of game my players are wanting. I have the capacity to create a challenging and complex combat experience, one where min-mixing is a must to survive, or I can stretch the rules to allowed fun and fantastical to allow a more relaxed, beginner friendly one. I'm a big proponent of player agency. I believe the player have to right to make all their decisions for their character. This means you control what your character does and doesn't do. The only exception is when your is charmed/mind-controlled or if your death has specific conditions, ie: slaad transformation, intellect devourer. Even in those cases you will still have narrative control, albeit in a more limited capacity.
