About me
Hello new friends you can call me Chisami I'm a queer black woman who has been playing and dming for tabletop games for 14 years. I've dmed in numerous environments, including home games, professional games as part of my time working for a game store, and numerous online games. I have experience in various systems but my preference is for pf2e. My focus when it comes to DMing is to tell a memorable engaging story, I enjoy challenging my players in hopes that they overcome these challenges, not to do dm vs player nonsense. I strive to make my games to be a safe space for marginalized people and make use of various safety tools to facilitate this.
GM Style
My table is first and foremost a safe place for marginalized people to enjoy themselves. Regardless of prior game knowledge everyone is welcome at my table. My games are all at their core stories of heroes of all stripes overcoming strife an escape into a world where you do have the power to change the world, to make a difference. My gming style puts a focus on storytelling and roleplaying. I reward creative in character moments/solutions. I do not consider combat to be outside of the realm of roleplaying, what you do in combat reflects who your character is. I enjoy running a wide variety of combats some are simple and straight forward, others utilize the the environment, hazards and unique abilities to create a satisfying tactical fight. I do my best to do engaging and evocative voices for many of my characters.

The first game I ever played in PF2e was with Chisami as our DM- was an absolute blast, even when I was flagging energy-wise or still figuring out my turn. A few years of games now and again later and I think some of the better/best parts of how she runs things are still quite alive; she keeps a good pace, helps people keep with that pace (character setup/modules, helping figure what things you can actually do), and the stories/games/encounters she sets up always have at least a few things of interest in my experience (serious or silly or both), so feel free to try and RP in whatever way you're able. Talk to her about what you're bringing to the table (characters etc.) and she'll find a way to make it work- or at the very least help you adjust that idea so it can fit and be fun for everyone- maybe even surprise you with some moment or thing that you can really feel is yours/something your character can help with in the game. She might be firm sometimes (as can be necessary in some cases), but she's there to help everyone have a good time together, and in my games with her- she's made it work out for the better, I think. Looking forward to when I can next play in a game with her again.
Chiasmi was helpful, welcoming, and very helpful in both Foundry and Pathfinder for new players. Very patient and generous with answering questions. The character voices were great and they kept the action moving. I'd definitely recommend Learn to Play Pathfinder as a great intro session but experienced players had fun too. I plan to jump into another of Chiasmi's sessions at some point.
