About me
I Started out as the forever Dm however over the 10 years in which I have played different systems I have come to relies that I much prefer Dming to being a player. It is for this reason that I now only play in one game and am currently Dming an ongoing game that currently resides in a Dark Gaslamp Fantasy Homebrew setting. My style of Dming is very on the nose in the sense I never (almost) fudge rolls however it is never in my own favour as the Dm as my main goal is to make sure that we are all enjoying ourselves. I often create or find maps for my games and for that reason they are often very visual something I enhance with the help of FX using the platform Foundry VTT. Lastly My games are often much darker and gritty, with low magic and the occasional Lovecraftian element in their too depending on the campaign. They are often set in my homebrew worlds.

I often create or find maps for my games and for that reason they are often very visual something I enhance with the help of FX using the platform Foundry VTT. As well as this my games lean strongly towards the roleplay and exploration branches over combat. I'll occasionally do voices however not often with a random NPC. Lastly I emphasis the gritty side of things and often use the gritty variant rules over the standard ones (not the DMG ones typically) because of this as to make an adventure feel more dangerous and make sure you as players know death is a real possibility.

Players say this GM is great at:
Creativity
Sets the Mood
Storytelling
Very distinct, purposefully dark setting - GM knows how to adapt a system like D&D5e for a game other than high fantasy, which is a task many GMs underestimate, and knows the limits of said system. Excellent with atmosphere and giving hooks to the players, even during character creation; I felt like I could make a character who didn't just exist in the world, but lived in it. Great improvisation skills.
Roleplaying gives the players to get to know each others characters, combat keeps you on your toes and its always a good time to take down a 'side quest boss' (not the bbeg but still a figure of considerable power). My favourite time with this GM was when my character slipped into some swear water, failed consecutively on saves, even with bardic inspo, and died, funniest stuff ever.
I have been playing at this table for over a year now, it has always been something I look forward to for good companionship and a great story. There inclusive and fun to be around and they also can roll with the chaos of our table really well. The weekly destress of this D&D session has done wonders for my mental health as well i would recommend you all give it a go.
