About Kade
I’m a Dungeon Master who loves thoughtful roleplay, collaborative storytelling, and giving players the space to let their characters breathe. My tables are welcoming, patient, and focused on creating memorable moments rather than rushing to the next combat. I primarily run official D&D 5e modules, with a special fondness for Lost Mine of Phandelver and Waterdeep: Dragon Heist. I enjoy taking these published adventures and enriching them with character-driven storylines, meaningful NPC interactions, and a steady, immersive pace that rewards curiosity and roleplay. In addition to my private games, I also GM an actual play series on YouTube, which has helped me sharpen my table presence, rules clarity, and ability to keep the game engaging while spotlighting every player. Whether you’re new to D&D or a seasoned adventurer looking for a calmer, story-focused experience, my goal is to make sure everyone feels heard, supported, and excited to return each session.

I got started GMing...
... because I was sick to death of games being rescheduled - or worse, cancelled!
My favorite shows/movies are
... Lord of the Rings, Stranger Things, Star Wars, Critical Role, and mostly anything Fantasy/Sci-Fi.
When I'm not running games I'm...
... usually playing video games - or being a husband/father.
How Kade runs games
My games are slow-paced and immersive, with a mixed tone similar to Critical Role: serious moments balanced with humor, character banter, and emotional storytelling. I enjoy letting scenes breathe and giving players time to explore their characters, relationships, and choices. I focus on roleplay-first gameplay supported by meaningful combat. Combat encounters are purposeful and tied to the story, while roleplay and exploration drive the heart of the game. I take a flexible approach to the rules. When questions or disagreements come up, we discuss them openly at the table, and I make a final ruling to keep the game moving smoothly and fairly. I especially enjoy running games for new and newer players. I’m happy to provide as much guidance as needed, whether that’s learning the rules, understanding character options, or getting comfortable with roleplay. No one is expected to be an expert — curiosity and engagement matter more than system mastery. Player agency is important to me. You’re free to approach situations creatively and even stray from the module, with the understanding that heavily improvised paths may feel a little less polished than prepared content. I use Session Zero along with Lines & Veils to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable at the table. At the table, I aim to share the spotlight evenly and ask players to be present and engaged during each other’s moments. I encourage minimal distractions and try to recreate a pen-and-paper D&D experience as much as possible. I do voice my NPCs (with varying levels of success!), but players are never expected to do voices themselves. Players often describe my style as creative, patient, and attentive, with a strong focus on making choices feel meaningful. My games are a great fit for explorers and roleplayers who enjoy thoughtful storytelling and collaborative play.
