How J.R. Liggans runs games

Roleplay is the most important part of the game; without it, all our characters are just lifeless statblocks. I love to help my players bring their characters to life. I'm a training voice actor, so I love to bring make NPCs unique with distinct voices. That said, combat is still what gets you to the treasure when you can't talk your way past the dragon, and exciting combat is my favorite part of running and playing the game!
