About me

Bio: Hi I'm Jeremy, former pro musician now working in software. I've been playing TTRPGs for about 15 years on and off, and I fell in love with the Fate system its shameless and un-ironic love of genre and cinematic experiences! My Experience: I've been GMing since I first started over 15 years ag. I started with d20 games (originally D&D 3.5), then branched out looking for more versatility. Fate became my favourite, and for the last 3 years I've been running dozens of unique Fate one shots, testing the limits of what the system can do (including a game within a game, which worked surprisingly well actually)! I am a confident improviser and can run any kind of game in any genre using this amazing system! My Ethic: I love playing with people who are just learning the system, and who are excited at the idea of watching their character fall headfirst into trouble in the most dramatic way possible! I'm personally neurodivergent, and every human is welcome at my games! I'm currently experimenting with a Discord bot for live captions, to properly accommodate deaf players! VTT: I prefer Fari as a VTT but there was no option for that, so I put Foundry as that's my second favourite!

GM Style

My style is cinematic, it's dramatic, and it's fast-paced! I love pulpy action/adventure, but whether I'm doing horror, rom-com, or psychological thriller, there are always stakes and urgency to drive things forward! My goal is to push the characters out of their comfort zone in pursuit of what they desperately want, and to threaten what they're most afraid of losing! I expect my players to play characters who have burning desires, and attachments on which their self-identity or even their lives depend! For more traditional RPG players, a heroic action story is also a beautiful style which I love, but I will focus more on personal stakes and relationships, and less on equipment and managing resources!
