About me

I’m a TTRPG player and GM since Holmes Basic D&D in 1979. I explored numerous systems throughout the eighties through the cusp of the nineties. After university, I took a 30 year hiatus from the hobby, but returned during the pandemic. I love the evolution that has happened in the ensuing time - TTRPGs have become much more inclusive and collaborative, and there are so many systems and design philosophies to engage with.

GM Style

I like being part of telling a compelling story, as a GM or player. My preference tends to fall on medium to low crunch systems, where every character can contribute in a combat situation even if they’re not combat-optimized. Also, I love to introduce folks to new systems. D&D5e and Pathfinder2e are both terrific systems, but there are tons of other systems out there that might support your game play style better and I’m constantly exploring new ones myself.
