I got started GMing...
I was taught to play by my uncle and aunt (who were in college) when I was five and started writing my first dungeon when I was six. I ran my first game for them when I was seven or so and even ran a couple sessions for their friends. Later I'd run very regularly starting @ elementary school lunch.
My favorite shows/movies are
Sitcoms, Fantasy, Anime, Animated, Science Fiction, Comic Book Worlds, Mysteries, Serials
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Creative, Passionate, Wizardly
How R.A. runs games
Been writing, designing, and running tabletop role playing games such as D&D, Call of Cthulhu, World of Darkness, etc. for 35 Years. I am an Author of many books and a Game Developer- the creator of Empyrean: The Hyperfantasy RPG. (The First RPG Designed to Bring Together D&D 3.5, Pathfinder, and d20 Multiverse All Together! Use All Your Favorite Old Books!). I have run many long term games well beyond epic level (in fact, this is the intention and core features of Empyrean) for groups as large as 8-12 with occasional rotating guest stars and semiregulars popping in from time to time. I can work with all levels of gamer from total newbies to established veterans. While my games are generally family friendly-ish (as much as dark fantasy and horror can be), I dislike censorship and do not stray from difficult topics, decisions, or moral quandaries. My games are both chill (OOC) and intense (IC) and demand a certain level of imagination, problem solving, puzzles/riddles, role play, teamwork, and venturing prowess (clue collecting, map making, etc.).

I deal with rules issues by...
Setting clear boundaries from the beginning and telling you where in the massive box you can play. I like talking and discussing things; if I tell a player "no" for something minor to major, I have a reason and don't mind sharing if asked why. (Often it's for balance reasons or player benefit!)
If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
Wolfgang Petersen, Rachel Talalay, Dan O'Bannon
Rules are...
Important for a Game! Feels and Reals. Crunch and Flavor. Roll Playing and Role Playing. I emphasize both sides of the coin!
R.A.'s ideal table
I cater to all minds, from good to evil, lawful to chaotic. That said, I require honesty and arguments in good faith if made.

I am for a vibe that's...
I like to foster a "chill but passionate, intellectual but not snobby" kind of game atmosphere, where people of all stripes can get their kicks!
I think metagaming...
Can Be Excellent in the Correct Use! Some EMPYREAN Abilities can break the fourth wall allowing hints or rerolling a terrible dice throw.
My perfect party mix is
I like a mixture of personalities at my table, like a good balanced adventuring party. Some like the battle, some the pre battle (planning, upgrading, crafting), some like the puzzles, some like the feels, some like the exploration, and some just like to laugh and have a good time to escape reality.
