About me

My name is Gloom, I am a forever GM who has been running games for more than 6 years, and I've been playing for longer! DND is but one of the systems I have ran, and can facilitate many types of games. I really love TTRPGS, it's my hyperfocus and obsession. Nothing is better than telling a story with a group of people, because you never know how the story will turn out! Outside of DND5e, I pick up odd jobs, bartending and wait-staffing. But my main passion is writing stories, and super originally designing my own TTRPG which I am excited about. I have a Drumkit and I love playing on it, I want to be in a band at-least one time in my lifetime and rock a few of the local venues in my home city. I am a Creative at heart, and the one thing I know I am good at is Dungeons and Dragons, Tabletop Roleplaying and I strive to be the best Game Master I can possibly be. Which means a lot of extensive notes and a lot of ideas thrown at the wall!

GM Style

My Game Master style is 100% about the Rule of Cool, It's natural for players to try and push outside of the rules of the game, and if I can facilitate it I will! Of course, there are times were one has to be told no, but I always try to be the type of Game Master that allows people to try things, unless they are impossible in a general way of common sense. I have two Homebrew Worlds; Navaris is my everymans fantasy world where players can play pretty much anything from DND content, Elves, Dwarves, Goblins, Centaurs you name it! It has a few twists and takes on normal fantasy, but it's an exciting world with written lore that dates back thousands of years in it. It's a personal pet project I started before becoming a Game Master! The other world is still in development; The world of Tris is a more grittier and grounded fantasy world, that I like to tell people about as I start making adventures for DND to test out the stories and worldbuilding of it. My style is very loose with the rules, as long as it facilitates a grounded and heartfelt story with a side of comedy. I can run all sorts of games, but my favorites are games ran in settings that are a bit darker. I strive to be an Inclusive GM that accepts and allows anyone at my table, with the preface that everyone treats each other with kindness and human decency. No matter the differences of a given person, you are welcome at my table no matter what. My games are 18+ only, as I strive to foster a space that involves violence, gore and many other aspects not suitable for younger audiences. I offer: Long Term Campaigns: At the moment they are still a work in progress, but long term campaigns are some of the best fun in TTRPGS you can have. Short Term Campaigns: This is where I am currently at, trying to create self contained stories from 4 to 10 sessions long. This is the healthy middle ground for those who want a good story but don't have time to commit to a game for a long, long time. One Shots: I love running self contained stories to singular sessions, it's always a challenge trying to write an entire story in one go. Overall, I am a keen explorer of stories. My comfort is Fantasy and Dark Fantasy, but Sci-Fi, Horror and many other Genre's are also apart of my wheelhouse. I'm excited to run games for everyone, because I get to make my story, OUR story!
