About me

As a 27-year-old enthusiast in all Table-Top games, I have spent the better part of my life playing a vast variety of single and multiplayer TTRPGs and have been running games for my friends and paid customers for about a decade now - after having played my first game of 2E D&D when I was but 5 years old. My greatest strengths lie in the Fifth Edition of Dungeons and Dragons and as I have maintained a tight knowledge base of every mechanic in this edition, I have great confidence in running a variety of different settings in 5E. My favourite setting by far to run is Granada, a world I created as a 5E sandbox, not too dissimilar from Faerun / The Forgotten Realms, but a bit closer to being a magi-punk setting with highly technologically developed societies in a world filled to the brim with magic. I DM because I find no greater fun than to watch a group of players have fun as a direct consequence of my actions and prepwork.

GM style

Roleplay: I prioritise PC-centric story beats and arcs, and love writing in-depth storylines and plots that my players will not only enjoy going through, but will feel satiated and accomplished at the end of. The journey is greater than its parts, but the end is undoubtedly the most important of all parts. I also provide more than ample time in each session for inter-player and player-npc RP interactions, to allow all characters, PC or otherwise to feel real and weighted in the story we weave together. Combat: I frequently create homebrew monsters based around unique concepts that either I encounter in other media or come up with myself, balance them for my parties and run them in engaging situations. I never aim to kill or go easy on any party, but instead aim to challenge. I do my best to ensure my players feel a sufficient balance of threat and reward, and take great efforts to preserve my personal rule that any consequences felt by players as a result of combat are directly due to player action, and not DM meddling. This has led to my players always highlighting the combats that I run as a highlight of playing with me, and keep coming back for more.
