About me
Welcome! I'm on this site because I love the service aspect of GMing and facilitating an experience that players will remember for a long time. I want to run your ideal session! I love enabling people to actually play the campaign they've always wanted but could never find the right group/time/whatever, or to try that one system they've had their eye on for a while. I welcome feedback and enjoy the challenge of improving in all the dimensions of running games, whether that be voice acting skills, time management and pacing, sensitivity to player mood, worldbuilding, rules/system mastery, improv skills, or inclusivity and preserving player safety. Even when I play at home with friends I usually audio record the sessions as a way to both remember plot points, analyze my performance later, and pick up on player cues I may have missed at the time. Quick facts: -I have a Theatre Arts minor and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. -I enjoy TTRPG design and am working on my own system called "Suns Apart" -I am learning Italian and would love to run or play a session in Italian some day -I gravitate towards systems which run fast/keep things moving, and promote out of the box/beyond the character sheet thinking -I am a parent and am willing to accommodate players with IRL responsibilities that cause scheduling difficulty or may require them to suddenly leave a session
GM Style
My GM style focuses on trying to create situations which have many possible approaches and no easy answers, so that players can enjoy finding creative ways of bringing their abilities and resources to bear, as well as display what sort of person their character is by making choices that matter. I follow the ICI (Information, Choice, Impact) doctrine popularized by Chris McDowall (https://www.bastionland.com/2018/09/the-ici-doctrine-information-choice.html), and love getting the players talking amongst each other. I emphasize spotlight management and making sure each player feels they have adequate space to contribute, and have plenty of experience running sessions where the party splits into various groups and I have to cycle between scenes happening in parallel to make sure nobody is passive for too long.
