He finds them engaged in a most epic fight and the words "Pit Fiend" and "Balor" are forever inscribed on an old and used battlemat. The hopeful blue-eyed kid presents his character, a level 1 sorcerer which is brutally jammed into a level 12 party. A fireball makes short work of his character. At the end of the game, the Dungeon Master presents the young hopeful with the three holy books: Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide and Monster Manual." Thus my journey into tabletop roleplaying game began. And what a journey it is! Hello fellow adventurers, my name is Raul and I am from Bucharest, Romania. I am 37 years old and I have been playing D&D since I was that hopeful sixteen years old. My journey carried me through multiple systems like GURPS, Shadowrun, Fate, Exalted, and recently Fragged, but I always returned to my first love, D&D. My experience is mostly non-professional, I have consistently GMed weekly games for friends and acquaintances. I have also held a "professional" Dungeon Master position at a local game store for several years. I have played with a lot of people from many walks of life and age groups and I have built a solid experience in storytelling and improvisation. I have played on Roll20 for quite some time diving in macros, lighting, mood music and even isometric mapping but currently I have switched to Tabletop Simulator for my current games because I enjoy putting together 3D maps and locales, which have a nice wow effect at the table and it is less of a hassle. But regardless of the online platform of choice, I am adaptable and I always have an ear for suggestions and improvements. If you are looking for a Dungeon Master that weaves heroic tales filled with unique locales and tactical encounters, lets people imagination run free with wild and awesome ideas and caters to the characters and the players at the table using the rule of cool judiciously, then probably I am the person you are looking for. GM style

As a Dungeon Master, I have crafted a personal style revolving around improvisation and "rule-of-cool", giving players and characters the needed agency to grow and evolve within the stories we collectively weave at the table. My style as a whole, revolves around creating a theme and then improvising the adventure along the way, leaving the players to decide in which direction the story goes. Characters are active participants and their actions define the story. I like giving players sufficient freedom to approach the adventure from any angle they wish. I am a sucker for good roleplay to which I cater to great extent with my descriptions but also for high-octane "die hard"-esque combat, where I encourage out-of-the-box ideas, including how to avoid the fight altogether.
