About Raul Tiberiu
You see a sixteen-year-old kid with large blue eyes stepping into a local student pub, searching for the legendary D&D game and its fabled participants. He finds them locked in a fierce battle, the words "Pit Fiend" and "Balor" forever etched into a battered battlemat. Nervously, the hopeful newcomer presents his character: a level 1 sorcerer, quickly thrust into the chaos of a level 12 party. One fireball later, his character is no more. At the end of the night, the Dungeon Master hands him the three sacred tomes: the Player’s Handbook, the Dungeon Master’s Guide, and the Monster Manual. Thus began my journey into tabletop roleplaying games—and what a journey it has been! Hello, adventurers! My name is Raul. I’m 37 years old, based in Bucharest, Romania, and I’ve been playing Dungeons & Dragons since that fateful day at sixteen. Over the years, I’ve explored many systems—GURPS, Shadowrun, Fate, Exalted, Fragged Empire—but I always find my way back to my first love: D&D. My experience includes years of running weekly games for friends, acquaintances, and for a time, serving as a professional Dungeon Master at a local game store. I’ve had the pleasure of playing with people from many walks of life and age groups, and in doing so, I've developed strong skills in storytelling, improvisation, and adapting to the needs of different players. I have extensive experience with online platforms like Roll20, mastering dynamic lighting, macros, mood music, and isometric mapping. Recently, I’ve shifted to Tabletop Simulator to create immersive 3D maps that bring a "wow" factor to the table with less hassle. Regardless of platform, I pride myself on being adaptable, receptive to feedback, and focused on ensuring players have a great experience. If you're looking for a Dungeon Master who weaves heroic tales, crafts unique and vivid worlds, encourages creativity through the judicious use of the Rule of Cool, and balances tactical encounters with wild imagination—then I just might be the DM you're looking for. So, come on in—let’s soar where only the sky is the limit!

How Raul Tiberiu runs games
As a Dungeon Master, my style revolves around improvisation and the Rule of Cool, giving players the agency they need to shape and evolve the story we create together. I typically build my campaigns around a central theme, then let the story unfold organically based on the players’ actions. Characters are active participants whose decisions drive the narrative forward. I believe in offering players genuine freedom—encouraging them to approach challenges from any angle they wish, whether through cunning, negotiation, creativity, or force of arms. I'm passionate about great roleplay, supporting it with vivid descriptions, dynamic NPCs, and rich world-building. I also love designing high-octane, Die Hard-style combat encounters that reward out-of-the-box thinking—including clever ways to avoid the fight altogether. In my games, player creativity isn’t just allowed—it’s celebrated.
