About DM StoryMaster
It started with a few friends, a pile of crayons, and some six-sided dice. Hunched over a bedroom floor in the late ‘80s, we crafted adventures with reckless abandon—dungeons sketched in frantic lines, monsters marked up with battle wounds, and Parcheesi tokens standing in for heroes. Rules? Who needed them? The thrill of the story was all that mattered. Even before I owned my first D&D set, I was hooked on the magic of tabletop roleplaying. Decades later, that same passion still fuels every game I run. Years of playing across countless systems have taught me that while mechanics shape the way we tell stories, it’s the stories themselves that truly matter. I take the best of these experiences and weave them into my games, crafting epic campaigns that blend rich storytelling, strategic challenges, and moments that make players feel like heroes—fully immersed in the emotion of the adventure. Storytelling is my wheelhouse, character arcs are my passion, and I love crafting encounters that get hearts racing. More than just running a game, I aim to create experiences—where choices matter, characters evolve, and the dice feel like fate unfolding. Whether you're a seasoned player or brand new to the adventure, I’m here to craft a story you’ll be talking about for years. So, grab your character sheet—let’s roll the dice and make something unforgettable.

How DM StoryMaster runs games
At the heart of every game I run is the story—your story. The world is rich with history, intrigue, and adventure, but it’s the choices of your characters that bring it to life. Whether through deep, immersive roleplay or tactical combat encounters, I craft games that feel personal, where your actions shape the narrative and every session leaves you hungry for more. With a background in theater, I bring my NPCs to life with distinct voices, personalities, and motivations. Conversations aren’t just exposition—they’re opportunities to forge alliances, make enemies, and uncover secrets in ways that feel real and dynamic. And when it’s time for battle, I set the stage with stunning, customized combat maps designed to immerse you in the action, making every fight feel epic and cinematic. Above all, my games are about creating unforgettable moments. The thrill of a last-minute persuasion, the tension of a desperate battle, the laughter of an unexpected twist—these are the stories we’ll tell together. So, bring your best character concept and a set of dice, and let’s craft an adventure that feels truly alive.

My games focus on...
Storylines and worlds driven by my players’ characters, Lots of Roleplay, and epic, meaningful, story-driven combat encounters.
I deal with rules issues by...
Listening to your perspective, making a ruling based on my understanding of the rules within context during the game session, and happily inviting offline conversations if any further clarification is needed between games.
When it comes to voices
I cultivate a safe place for my players to experiment with “silly voices” voice acting, and in-character communication. As for my voices? Be prepared for MANY voiced characters!! I lead by example!
DM StoryMaster's ideal table
Come with the mindset that we are all around this table for a collaborative experience and it is everyone’s job to make sure everyone is having a good time!

I love it when a player
Suddenly starts speaking in character for the first time!!
I think metagaming...
Detracts from the fun for everyone… We are here for a story filled with adventure and carefully prepared surprises! Let yourself and everyone else experience those surprises. Its not about “winning the game” the game is the journey.
I think min/maxing...
Has its place and can be fun… in fact, leaning in to those dump stats makes for amazing ROLEPLAY moments! But, I tend to run character driven games so I encourage you to build around the person, not the stats and sheet.
