About Stoofer
Hey there! I've been a GM since first bitten by the TTRPG bug way back in the 90s and fell in love with collaborative storytelling. I encourage a good mix of pace and setting, from high tension tactical combat to relaxed role-playing scenarios and everywhere in-between. My tables are a safe and inclusive space where we try to communicate and resolve conflicts in a friendly manner, but I'm not afraid to remove disruptive players. Our cats may appear as and when they choose. They have full immunity to mind control and sleep spells.

I became a GM because
I love improv and storytelling, so I was the natural choice when me and my friends tried out RPGs!
People are always surprised when I tell them
...and that's where we'll end the session.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Friendly Challenging Fun
How Stoofer runs games
I bring strong NPCs and roleplaying to the table, making immersive worlds that never feel like the characters are being railroaded. I have a pool of characters to draw from, so there's always things to do off the beaten path if you're into exploring the corners of the game! *Lots of room for roleplay *Reactive to player actions, characters and backgrounds *A world that remembers players' deeds *NPCs that have their own character and motivations *NPC voices *Enemies in combat using tactics befitting their skills & training *I favour flow and fun - bring on your ideas!
Stoofer's ideal table
My tables are typically most loved by players who enjoy roleplay, out of the box thinking and challenging combat (following the philosophy that the enemy knows what they're doing). My worlds are grounded and will react to the players who get to place an indelible mark on the world.

I am for a vibe that's...
Welcoming and friendly, where everyone feels that their characters matter and they get a fair share of the story. Where people chat about the game between sessions on Discord and speculate about what's coming next. Fun, Respect and Commitment.
I love it when a player
thinks outside the box and comes up with completely unexpected plans that delight the table. The rules are a framework for fun, but a lot of the best fun comes from outside the rules!
I think min/maxing...
isn't important. Characters with, well, "character" are lots more fun! I'll scale the combat challenge so it doesn't matter if the group is min-maxed or not - build what will be fun to play!
