About David Rosillo

As a seasoned Dungeon Master with over 34 years of experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the gaming table. My passion for TTRPGs started at a young age, when I first discovered HeroQuest and began creating my own adventures and customizing the rules to suit my imagination. From there, a friend introduced me to a "red box game," and I was hooked. I believe that player agency is essential to a great gaming experience. My #1 rule as a DM is to "Find ways to say Yes!" I want to empower my players to make meaningful choices and shape their own stories within the game world. In addition to my commitment to player agency, I also prioritize inclusiveness at the gaming table. I believe that everyone should feel safe and valued, regardless of their background or experience level. This is why I make it a priority to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all of my players. Throughout my years of experience, I've had the opportunity to work with a variety of TTRPGs, including Call of Cthulhu, FATE, Stars Without Number, and Blades in the Dark. However, my go-to game is still Dungeons & Dragons (5e), which I've been running for many years and consider my specialty.

How David Rosillo runs games

As a GM, I prioritize story and roleplaying over combat and puzzles. I believe that the most important aspect of the game is for everyone to have a good time, and for players to feel like their choices and actions have a meaningful impact on the world. I strive to create an immersive, story-driven experience that allows players to fully explore their characters and bring their personalities to life. Safety is always a top priority in my games. I believe that everyone should feel comfortable and supported while playing, and I will do my best to create a safe and welcoming environment for all players. Inclusiveness is also a key aspect of my GM style. I am LGBTQ+ and BIPOC friendly, and I believe that everyone should be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their background or identity. I am committed to creating a gaming experience that is accessible and enjoyable for all players, and I will work to ensure that everyone feels valued and included at the table.
