About Darth Jazzhands
I’m an old fart who’s been playing and running Dungeons & Dragons since 1980. I’ve especially enjoyed passing on the tradition to the next generation by running games for my adult son and his buddies since they were 10 years old. Now I’m focusing on educating new players, especially parents, on how to play with and DM for their own kids. Based in San Francisco, California (GMT -8) but available weekdays during normal business hours (9am to 5pm pacific time) by appointment. Perfect for Europeans looking for a 3-5 hour evening game after work.

How Darth Jazzhands runs games
I’m no Matt Mercer on Critical Role but I love RP, Character Voices, and painting the picture for the players! • Top priority: everyone at the table has fun, including the DM! • I love running villains who know what they’re doing (evil laugh) • I enjoy running a living, breathing, and ever-changing home-brew world • I use limited house and table rules, and require use of TTRPG safety tools by all players Unique Feature: "Tavern Time Warp" • All players begin the game in the stereotypical starting point: The Tavern • The Tavern exists only in pre-game time • Using Discord text and voice RP players can interact pre-game, between sessions, and even after wrapping the game • Players can discover key in-game clues from NPCs and other players outside their own gaming group! • Players can choose to bring those discoveries into the game even after they've started playing (disclaimer during session zero) • Meta? Yes, but its perfect for new players who are learning how to game • We've been play testing this feature and so far the players love it!

Darth Jazzhands's ideal table
My ideal table is 5 players who are a mix of noob and experienced. I enjoy teaching the game to new players but I like to have experienced players who can offer advice based on their own unique experiences.
